“What is the greatest gift: hope, faith, or love? asked a wise teacher of his disciples. The greatest gift is love.” Whoever loves from the heart then hope and faith will be there as well.
I have always felt that my given purpose in this life has been to “Love God, myself and others.” Besides the fact that I was born on Valentines Day, I was loved deeply by my parents and grandparents especially in my infancy and early childhood. This was a true gift because they were so young and without much education or income. Yet, I was cherished and given affection and attention.
I was also taught to love and serve the community. At 19 years old, while working as a youth counselor in the San Francisco Mission District—a mostly Latino community, at The Real Alternatives Program (RAP), I was given a list of values to uphold. My first boss and mentor, Jim Queen, gave me the organization’s motto and the values: “To love and serve the people with dignity and respect”. This stayed with me for the rest of my life.
When I set out to establish my business mission in 2006 after retirement from a 30-year career in Transportation, I contemplated who I would be and what I would do in this new redesigned life. I was only 55 and felt that I still had the energy and desire to serve the community. Thus, my mission became “To motivate and inspire humanity to love God, themselves and each other.” And the added values “serving with love, dignity and respect.” If you are interested in hearing more about this story and how it led me to coaching, please see the videos where I was featured in one of several coaching stories from across the globe in the 2023 Converge Conference of the International Federation of Coaching.
In one way or another, I have tried to serve others with love, dignity, and respect. It has given me many opportunities to serve and love people from all walks of life. On this website you will learn more about my life’s love story and the lessons learned that provided security, prosperity, and purpose. I established the 6 Ps for my business, that are values and outcomes, I believe, that create a map for our lives: “Patience, Perseverance and Prayer for Peace, Prosperity and Purpose”. These are the P’s I use to focus clients on a practical guide for seeking achievable goals anytime in life.
